I couldn’t do Australia, no matter how nice their houses are. -
• #3855
No but I do now.
Yeah obvs but the houses out there are great - think the space plus light also plays a big part in how mint they look -

If my Sydneysider wife ever gets her way and we move to Aus, I’m gonna build something special.

That and it being warm, opens up a different way of living.
Some fantastic places on that insta, not all are massive either. I’d love a place in Mexico as there is some beautiful architecture there too. -

Wallis Lake House is built on the land of the Wallamba people of the Worimi nation.
Hmmm. Have they said this now because they know it will come up on the searches?

Yeah, would be dreamy. There's a guy who is creative director at Potato Head and lives in Bali who has this amazing house - I often think that I could vibe with living there

Wow, who knew that line of work paid so well!
I'm totally behind the gender neutral rebrand though.

Just a recognition that pretty much everything in Australia is built on land taken away from the original owners. Australia still has a long way to go, but they are starting to make gestures towards reconciliation. Reverting to (or at least acknowledging) original place names, reconsidering Australia Day etc. It's a start.

Yeah could live there.
The comments other are hilarious, worse than here maybe even! -

So many Aussies in Bali though

recently moved to liverpool, and earlier today spotted someone on a bike with a 'granby workshop' tote bag that i thought had a nice logo - now lusting after some funky tiles and matching plates:

we've got one of the encaustic fruit bowls (which came with one of their nice totes) - it's lovely.

I have some small bits and pieces, nothing bigger than a dinner plate.
One day if the opportunity arises I would like a fireplace surround. -

On the subject of Australian architecture, here’s a plug for https://www.instagram.com/pleysierperkins/?hl=en - Simon is a really nice guy, would love to be able to live in one of their houses.

Love those bowls, thanks.

are these anything special or just standard stacking chairs
-

Dunno - great colour tho - the original is by Robin Day for Hille . I guess maybe those are a variant but probably a later rip off - they were/ are pretty ubiquitous - when you look at the original it's super elegant and (almost unbelievably) £49 each. Sheppz future dining chair of choice perhaps...

cheers, thanks for the info
and on that note, anyone want them, freecycle over in Stratford E15 collection only, 4 chairspart of an ongoing shed clearout, they're a little dusty but will clean up lovely
Australian architecture is absolutely fantastic atm, which surprises me as assumed all Aussies are like this...
