  • Portraiture and art do also exist (including nude), it is not only for purposes of selling or ogling that women are photographed with things.

    I would say the first image looks like a portrait for Art's sake. The outfit, hair & make up, studio shoot
    The second is definitely more of the time and looks to be a "sex sells" type cinelli marketing image and does wander into objectifying.

    Ultimately I think it's right for us to question whether these types of image are acceptable but it is not black and white and as males who are being offended on someone else's behalf, we should perhaps not jump to conclusions

  • I’m not a fan of either one of the Cinelli Laser photos but one could argue that (other than the weird top) the woman in the second photo is at least wearing functional cycling kit, whereas the first photo seems like the photographer mainly hired the model as a prop without any connection to the bike judging by the outfit and those shoes in particular. For the sake of gender-equality in body-objectification, I’ll leave this here:
