Same as IWOOT. They put the prices back up last night then offer 20% to give the exact same discount.
Can't fool me fuckers. I know all them eComm trickz.

Yeah, right.

I don't think 20% LEGO 'discounts' are really discounts. They're there to fool people into thinking that they're getting overpriced-to-accommodate-a-20%-discount LEGO cheaper. 20% discounts are far too common to be real.
-

TBF it was 20% on top of the already discounted prices.
£120 for the Technic Ferrari 488 wasn't too bad.
Not earth shattering, but cheapest I've ever seen it.
(Didn't really look at much else to see if other stuff is already marked down) -

Ah, I didn't realise there was a combination of two discounts. Obviously fine if you're happy with that price, but in the past I've got the impression that allowing people to combine two discounts was just another sales trick. It doesn't affect me in the case of those Technic car models, because to me they look, as I think @Kernowdreamer once put it, 'like something the cat's been at'. :)
zavvi also has this:

I thought this was a decent deal--1,200 parts, not too much junk, for £28:

been busy buying 2x2 plates off Bricklink for my mosaic - using the wishlist has worked pretty well. I massively underestimated the cost however. I have about 90% now, so can get started.
Does stock update a lot? For example I need 112 Dark Pink, 57 Earth Orange, 30 Light Purples (and a whole load of smaller numbers) but cant source these.
Also - need to track down four 50x50 baseplates for this all to go on. Any hot tips on those would be good. I see Wilko used to sell fake lego baseplates but they were 40x40 and are discontinued.

With the newer colours, there are unlikely to be enough in stock across BrickLink 'shops' yet. I probably have a couple of dark pink and pink ones if that would help? Not sure which colour you mean by 'Earth Orange', so I'll have a look on BrickLink, as I imagine that you've got the name from there?

yes. all colour names are from there.
A couple of pinks wont make much of a dent in my needs, but thanks for the offer

You're welcome. Yes, I probably only have <10 of each, probably wouldn't be worth it. I'll have a quick look tonight just out of interest.

Can wishlists be shared? If you come across 1 x Dark Red or 1 x Medium Azure let me know (although not sure how you would know) I can also raid my daughters lego boxes to see.
I got 4 baseboards for £38 which again is eyewatering, but will allow me to begin once they arrive

1 x Dark Red or 1 x Medium Azure
I'm sure I have one of each, although I get confused about the colours and will have to look up what in the heck 'Medium Azure' is. :)
I can also raid my daughters lego boxes to see.
A better strategy might be to ask them. :)

Any recommendations for a basic lego motor set suitable for an 8 year old? There seems to be an 8293 set that's been discontinued and not much else. Unless I'm getting confused which is quite possible.
Seem to be able to get them from ebay for 70ish which seems quite a lot for something she may not get into, considering I could get her some good Harry Potter Lego for same amount, which she would definitely be into.
I'm afraid I failed to understand how the Super Mario thing works when I briefly watched a video trying to explain it, but it seems to have sold well.
