  • Triton is offering it for £20. For delivery on 21 June grrrr. It is out of stock everywhere. Even in the US of A. And the IceToolz copy. An alternative appears to be a Park Tool marketed for the Bosch Active / Performance Line of e-bikes. But that is also out of stock. What gives? This is really not...rocket surgery?

  • Did you miss the memo about 2020 and what we’ve had of 2021?

  • ^ sarcasm?

  • I have the Leonardi racing one, "they" say it's a better version but have not used an official one.
    R2 bike has stock

edit: if you don't have a spare locking, I would get one just in case you fuck it up. it's alu and the tool is steel.

  • Ran one of these on the CAAD12. Worked absolutely fine.

Note: you’ll need a new tool - made of cheese, so they sell I pairs - to fit. And good luck procuring.

@onyerbike took my spare BB so may have a tool going spare.

  • Yep think I got one of the last ones from HoB,
welcome to borrow, still waiting for my SystemSix to come back from its surprise new paint job

  • edit: if you don't have a spare locking, I would get one just in case you fuck it up. it's alu and the tool is steel.

Ah, thank you for that intel. The job of swapping out the SpiderRing race double is not pressing so I may just kick it down the road.

  • All this talk of Cannondale tools and BBs reminded me: easy cheat for the Cannondale BB tool - pop a penny over the axle and use a regular crank extractor. Will fuck the penny up, but hey, it'd take you changing the cranks 200 times before it'd make sense to buy the tool...

  • Hmmm. What kind of 'penny'? 1p? 1d? Or some other currency? This sounds like a useful hack to know about!

  • I have the lockring tool and the crank extractor in W5.

Even if you have the LR tool, you still need a solidly attached bench vice or similar to do the job, might not be something most people have around.

  • Anyone have a long Hollowgram axle they want to sell?

  • How long? Mtb or road?

  • Right you are, should have mentioned. MTB ideally. Longer than 109mm anyway. Trying out a frankenbuild.

  • I might have something. Will check tomorrow. Proper old school though.

  • As long as it fits I'm good. Already using a chopped up hollowgram double ring as a single, so you can see where I'm going with this.
    Really appreciate it.

  • Hey all. My lovely old Six13 that is now my daughters has a crack at the connection between the carbon and aluminium.

So I need #newcaad !! Anyone selling ANYTHING CAAD with 1 1/8 headset in a 54 that isn’t going to break a music students bank ? She’s distraught.

    Thanks guys.

  • Could just carbon wrap this shit out of this, cheap fix for a student.

    Could also go terribly wrong...

  • It is my daughter we're talking about !!!
    I thought of electrical tape..........

  • I have the lockring tool and the crank extractor in W5.

Ah, great, thank you @Howard! W5 is easy for me and yes I do have a bench vice. Will PM you.

  • yes i do have one frame that fits the bill but would need a replacement for it

  • Looking for some advice...

Bought a CAAD13 from Drakes Cycles in Leeds in December ‘20 which has subsequently closed.

I’ve been having issues with creaking on the bike that LBS has now narrowed down to an issue with the free hub in the rear hub. I’m trying to get hold of cannondale to check whether this can be fixed under warranty but the usual route of going via bike shop I bought from now isn’t an option.

I’ve tried a couple of other authorised
Cannondale dealerships but they have said they wouldn’t do it for a bike they didn’t sell directly....

Anyone got any advice on how best to contact cannondale would be much appreciated?

    Thanks!
