Shit, that’s going to play so well with those who are on board with the Telegraph/Mail narrative, ‘proves’ the bill is required.

Plus the demonstrators will of course be the reason for any increase in cases of COVID, not the decisions by the government such as “all back to school now”, no, definitely not that

Yeah. That’s a massive own goal. The conspiracy theorist in me suggests that the violence may well have been a ploy to make the point.
Send the hard right in to a lefty protest to make it look as bad as Patel wants it to be seen.
It’s very murky out there.
