Sonos massively pissed me off by removing functionality in an app update (can no longer play local files on my phone through the Sonos 1, just streaming services)
Worse that that on Android. It's limited to streaming from the Sonos app, so you can only use sources which are supported by that. Means that - for example - you can listen to live BBC radio, but nothing from the BBC sounds app.
It's not a hardware limitation because the old Google Play Music app could cast to it, but since that's been killed there's no way to do likewise with Youtube Music. Dunno whether this is Google trying to drive their own hardware sales, or Sonos wanting everything to go through their app. Tech companies are cunts sometimes.
I've had serious buyers remorse with my One, which is frustrating because it a decent piece of hardware. Apart from the lack of a line-in port, which is a stupid omission.

That said we have one in our bedroom and a pair in the living room and they sound decent enough, and haven’t suffered connection issues that weren’t 100% our shoddy wifi
