Always hard to judge speed and distance from cam footage but it was good work to not panic and target fixate on the car.
The situation does look avoidable though - seemed pretty hot coming up the the roundabout (?), given that sort of manoeuvre isn’t uncommon and then little/no attempt to slow down once the car started to move, just hope there was room to pass on the inside.
Obviously I probably would have binned it into the back of the car!
Yea like I was discussing with the friend, we all get ourselves in ‘avoidable’ situations so abstaining from any judgment on that side. Just a pretty sketchy close call, and a fairly good save.
But all the same, I’d have slowed down the moment I saw the tyres drift over the line.
Yeah, not so much judgement as ‘what would I do/how can I avoid needing to’.
Yes, same - I cover brakes towards junctions (or any sort of traffic induced undertaking), try keep closing speed reasonable and watch for last minute movements.
