Think I had a record player that was capable of playing a 78 back in the 80's.
Used to work with Technics 1210's Mk.2 continually as they were the workhorses of DJ culture. If I had to buy one nowadays it would be one of those.
I do actually own some 12" LP's but only because they are rare editions and are in plastic bags.
Went through most music formats, the DCC was amazing but pretty much only for live music recording to then send to a studio for mastering.
The Minidisc format was cool but then MP3 appeared.
This is why digital is always going to be better quality than analogue.
A one and a zero are the same width.
Don't really get this thing about vinyl nowadays. It's outdated and will never be as good as digital. How many 45's and 78's do you play?
