Cheers for the compliments on the Domo Farm Frites Merckx. @Sig_Arlecchino I've got an SLX Merckx too with a similar set up and definitely prefer the Max frame over the rough stuff, the SLX I find flexes a bit too much under my fat ass, so I should probably be on the salad rather than chips and mayo. Those 3t stems are sexy but flex a bit too which helps make it less jarring over cobbles.
@PhilPub keen eye sir, yes they are Harry Rowland built wheels, 28/32 Chorus hubs, Sapim spokes and Open Pro rims.
As we had a bit of sunshine this morning I went out for a quick spin on my Nikor, and as I'd not seen what the Max tubes looked like with some old deep shiny rims + some sunshine, I put some Shamal tubulars on for a bit of extra dazzle. The fat tubes and stem look good with deep rims I think, especially in the sun. The tyres may be Open Pave's but to avoid rattling my fillings loose I shall be avoiding the cobbles with this set up :)
