Re Pug - you mean you have been given the whole bike or just the frameset. If latter, you may want to think before starting collecting bits, as it makes no sense throwing money at low end bike unless you want to learn...the hard way :) . Full bike can be bought for £50 or less even, so you have plenty of options to furnish what you have.
