In short yes, but I would recommend something solid as root containment all the way around them to prevent them from spreading. The clump forming motherfucking triffidy bastards are more difficult to get rid of than Covid 19 once established.

Do it now while there's moisture in the ground, if it dries out you'll need a kango (bitter experience, detailed a few pages back).
