I wouldn’t be surprised if cases have bottomed out, but a couple of things need to be taken into consideration;

1. What is the test positivity rate? Has that started to creep up?
   
2. As a large proportion of the at risk population has now been vaccinated, cases although not an irrelevance are not as important as other measures such as hospital admissions
   
3. Rightly or wrongly we have taken an approach which seems to be to reduce levels to an acceptable but non-zero level, so could see there being a constant low level of cases for quite a while, I guess the issue here is keeping on top of any vaccine resistant variants
