    But it’s not as easy as that. If it’s shade grown or wild then it’s likely that the yield for the farmer is less, so be happy to pay more for the coffee.

  • Be good if it was clear on the web blurb / packet labels of roasters, as prominent as washed/natural etc.

  • Or even on their websites. It’s hard to include it all on the package, but a simple qr code helps.

    We do this at FCP, the code goes to the product page which has the transparency info. Alongside that we share full P&L and costs for the cafe and , as soon as we have them, the toastery
