I just remembered one that really wound me up. A recipe called for a cup of either coriander or rocket (I forget). I’m pretty sure the same weight of either could take up virtually any volume depending on how forcefully you care to shove it in. Why not just say ‘some’ as a unit of measurement and be done with it. In fact why list the ingredients at all?
