I am not sure they have. Highest placed British male in 2020 was 150th, in 2019 92nd and in 2018 73rd. Women are obviously a different story between Annie Last, Evie Richards and Isla Short.

Yeah that's why I was surprised to see TP put it out there. Perhaps there's one of those funny olympic rules whereby a rider can do the MTB race if they are in the road squad or something.

Just checked the nation ranking and it's possible depending on the years they use for qualification that they'd sneak a spot. In some ways though, it'd be a bit crap that some poor bugger puts in the leg work and Pidcock takes the spot.
