Have you bled the system and squeezed the lever?
Mayve there's a separate part that carries the fluid inside the plastic and you haven't completely fucked it.

Unfortunately yes. Not the first, or the last time I’ve seen that. It’ll eventually either leak or just jizz fluid during hard braking.
If it’s brake related, don’t take chances.

Ok so I’m obviously an idiot and have very possibly fucked my LH lever by over tightening the nut (not a euph). Heard a snap and then saw this crack in the plastic casing. There doesn’t appear to be a leak. Is the lever fucked? Will I die?
