Indeed!!

how much the pros struggle to get a waterproof
I'm no handling wizard but this seems harsh. Cannot imagine putting on a jacket while being freezing, knackered, at high pace and watching out for attacks from your rivals is easy? Not to mention the awareness of the camera watching you.

Cavendish just crashed at 6km to go.
Though obviously you're all following it.

Sure it's are cav? Bike looked very big

Fairly sure. Very unglamorous racing today. Second Quickstep crash looked bad.

Ah, I'm confused by other QS crash.
-
• #31858
Second QS crash involved Jannik Steimle, no update on his condition yet.

I think it may also be down to the fact everything is cut far tighter than it used to be. Also some fabrics may not play well together like those rubberised bumps on the sleeves might make a jacket hard to put on or take off

I don't think it'll affect things too much really. I saw a fun suggestion on Twitter, where someone said that forearm riding should be allowed once a solo rider had a gap of x seconds on the peloton or something, which would be an interesting take on it. It's not a mega Zwift aero boost style improvement the way most people do it (arms too low, elbows too wide) so not really going to change anything.
With the downhill position - we have seen it help especially in stages races for the odd extra second or bridging to a group ... I'm ambivalent really about whether it should or shouldn't be banned. We have tested it a fair bit in the wind tunnel and it is a lot faster than being in the drops etc.

Sixth for Jake Stewart at Nokere Koerse. Impressive start to the season for him. Hope he gets to ride Flanders and/or Roubaix.
He is are new Cav šš¬š§.

Steimle update is dislocated shoulder, fractured rib and āconcussionsā and a hospital stay overnight.
Which seems better than expected from the shots of him on the floor

My guy won on an Ultegra groupset today.

Absolute nodder and failed his celebration too
-
• #31865
Innit. That's why he's not allowed Dura-Ace
-
• #31866
I believe the race jury considered a further relegation to 10 speed 6700 Ultegra

Absolute nodder
Figuratively and literally.

Lol

• #31869
why does he pedal like that?
-
• #31870
His breakaway companion wasnt much prettier. Perhaps he grew up doing MTB rather than the track...

Gaudin is amazing, like a bike powered steam roller.
-
• #31872
I love Gaudin, he is like a throwback to when gears were only available in 52/42 and 13/23. The picture should automatically go to black and white whenever he is on screen.

Very unglamorous racing today.
I love Cav. He could very easily retire and do nothing, but he loves racing even when not in top form. Why not keep the show on the road as long as possible?

edit: the whole programme, maybe this will work, ffwd to near the end of the show
Quite a few of them could have done with a burner...
