  • aren't we all?

  • Your walls look like they need a bit more decoration, how about an artful photo of said bookcase in the other room?

  • Work in progress. Only finished painting yesterday.

Got a bike frame and some vinyl shelves to put up

  • I tried to arrange a load of random books behind when my wife uses the office for her calls. I don't have to do any video calls. She got a few remarks about one set:-

    • Version Control With Git
    • The Art of Computer Programming (first 3 vols in a box set)
    • Fixing your feet by John Vonhof
  • Looks great though!
My office currently has my desk, turbo trainer, printer, scanner, daughter's school bag, baby's play pen.

Basically a downstairs dumping ground for general stuff.

  • Flexispot users, are your desks wobbly? Saw a review that said the cheap one wobbles if it's got a lot of weight on and I'll have 2 monitors on it.

  • I got legs with 3 parts, and it’s pretty sturdy.
I’ve stood on the top with no issues.

Can’t say whether the cheaper 2 part legs are more wobbly, they are rated for less weight.

  • I don't know how they are for arch support specifically but I stand all day and wear Crocs on the recommendation of a friend who works in hospitality and they're great.

  • @Soul looks fab a week off well spent. That's a similar plan I have for my office upstairs once I get around to renovating that part of the house.

  • My Flexispot EC1 (cheapest of the lot with 2 part legs) is absolutely solid. No wobble.

I have an 8kg 43" monitor on it (along with laptop, keyboard, mouse, fan, lamp, clutter).

I guess any wobble will likely be down to the floor surface. If that's uneven then you might get wobble. Mine is on carpet.

You also have to assemble the desks yourself, so it could just be people putting them together badly.

[EDIT] 140cm width desktop on it.

  • I have my flexispot at almost almost full width and height, and it's a bit wobbly.

But I haven't secured the desktop yet, and it's a big desktop.

    More news at 10.

  • office chair recommendations? 2ndhand seem to be out of stock

  • Amazon Noblewell office chair £118.99

A bit more plastic than you get on a name brand for twice the price but my bad back disappeared in a week and it looks the part despite the lack of shiny bits.

    Would recommend

  • Anyone working with dual curved monitors? I want to add another to my single Samsung 27”, is it worth doing this and having the break in between or selling one and spending more for a single ultrawide type?

  • MX Master 3 mouse for cheap (not actually cheap, but a lot cheaper than normal) on Amazon at £65.
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07W6HDNNV?smid=A30DC7701CXIBH

Anyone want my MX Master original?

  • thats brill - thanks

are rechargeable keyboards/mouse worth it - i have a current wireless keyboard/mouse which run on batteries but could do with something bit more smoother

is this any good? there's a few in their range

  • if a external trackpad would be useful to you the apple one is fucking amazing

  • possibly, but of of budget - my work are paying for my equipment so looking to maximise the offer

  • Mx master 3 ftw. So much better than what I had before.

  • Unsolicited, but... If you want a keyboard that's wireless and really nice to work on / live with, check these out.

  • I’ve got one on order, so will have an Mx Master free.

I’ve got an MX Keys keyboard now as well, I feel like a YouTube tech influencer...

  • Not that I've noticed. Might feel a little bit of movement on the fullest height but kind of to be expected and nothing serious. I'm pretty happy with the desk and it has two monitors on it. Just need to remember to stand up.a bit more with it

  • There was some chat that they (superwide monitors) have a bit of an issue when it comes to sharing screen on team's or zoom just as an fyi

  • Just ordered one of these, been admiring it for a while
