After the debacle of the missing Mogget. He's now building himself back up, his sister no longer hisses at him and he's coming and going through the cat flap OK. They both go in and out. However, Mogget is still using the litter tray, would prefer him to go outside as they did in the last flat. But, litter tray I can deal with. His sister, Jelly, still insist on shitting and pissing in the open brick fireplace. We can mostly mitigate the issue with puppy pads. But still need to deal with pissy puppy pads and the occassional shit that she decides to do on the brick. Or, she'll shit on the pad and scratch at it so the shit ends up on the brick anyway.
We've tried everything. The litter tray in the fireplace, not in the fireplace (in case the smell of Mogget's doings are putting her off. A separate tray with litter on the brick. A separate try with litter on the pads. Pads on the tray with and without litter. Different litters. "Cat Attract" powders. The least annoying arrangement has been a pad on the tray with no litter, as at least that seems to contain the piss the most. But she then still gets out with wet pissy fet and leaves pawprints on the brick.Still shits over the edge onto the brick even in that arrangement. I would just close the living room door so stop them getting in there at all, but before the fireplace, it was the front door mat so worried about regressing to that.
The fireplace is (hopefully) getting boarded over soon so had hoped to sort his by now. I am a gnat's tadger away from staking out the living room and waiting for her to go into the fireplace place, grabbing her by the scruff and stuffing her out the cat flap.

It is infuriating.
