I need a 32 bit laptop (running Windows 7, ideally) to check something on my car.

I'd rather not buy one off ebay for, what may be, one use. I've tried asking friends, but no luck. But maybe someone here? Anyone have one I can borrow, or buy for cheap?

Or where would be better to post this request?

Can you do something like run windows 7 in a virtual machine to acheive what you want??

Good idea, but unfortunately the VM crashes when I try. Not sure if it's a hardware issue (I'm trying to interface with a device which connects to the car, so there are some drivers being installed), but have tried a few times with no luck (with windows xp and 7).
