free stroke adjust
I always wondered about the free stroke adjust on shimano, I could never get it to do what I thought it was supposed to! The last set of xt's I had, it honestly didn't seem to do anything at all no matter where I set it to.
Even the contact point adjuster on sram codes doesn't work the way you'd expect. You have to set it in the opposite direction of what the manual says for it to have any meaningful effect...

Shimano lever with free stroke adjust and Hope's BPC means that both levers can be set up to feel equal IME
