Will you be transferring your spacer stack across like 4 like?
-
• #378
ahah! those spacers were originally for this, like a lot of parts i bought along the way and used on other builds in the end, but mv built the spacers into the stem and I ended up going for moto bars.
i fear/hope now the bars may be higher than the saddle, going by the added 10deg of positive rise on the stem + 35mm rise bars, when compared to my old caad!
at least according to my fag packet maths

That looks like an absolute dream boat! Really looking forward to seeing the paint going on and when it’s built up!
Apologies if this has been answered before, but do you have something special in mind for wheels?
-
• #380
thank you!
i got some VO escepade rims on sale and had them laced to some deore t610 hubs, I wanted a wheel which looked nice, but wouldn't be weighing on the mind as they got bumped into and off things

Bonkers
Refined chaos. I like the seatstay/ top tube cluster, lug on extended lug. Cool MV touches. You must be made up. I look forward to it painted

I like the look of the VO rims. Seems like a proper rim brake wheelset!

That frame is... interesting. Can't wait to see what you're going to do with it!

Frame is looking awesome

glad to see some excitement around this here, it's a stand up job by one of the forums own.
in regards to maguras, all the parts are bought, it's all deore and nice ish touch points i had from other tinkerings seen in previous pages, the blingyest thing behind the frame is some 2nd hand middle burn cranks in silver and some black mks beartraps.
it might get a paul chain guide if the clutch doesn't keep the chain on. but have done my best to not get carried away as i have done on other builds, i'm actually quite impressed its come out costing a chunk less than a otp grx gravel wagon

costing a chunk less than a otp grx gravel wagon
and having so much more character and personality.
Cant wait for some build shots!!!

Bartape weirdness or good old fashioned grips?
-
• #398
will be the stooge bars with grey esi grips from a couple of pages back, quite a mundane build outside the frame!
wanted something like the rivendells/crusts/crumbworks chunky tyre flat bar tourers where they're built quite modestly (that's the story my wallet tells my brainworms anyway!)
@Josh some time for those yet, few finishing rack bosses and disc tab for the fork to be done along with sanding, it also has to be posted so i'm informed paint will need time to cure.
although that said, i will be booking some time of work to build and enjoy it when it does arrive!

This is enjoyably bonkers, is that a tri-laminate seat cluster? Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Very much looking forward to seeing this built up. Track dropouts with derailleur hanger, got me planning my next frame build, ta.
Bonkers frame. Kinda Mad Max-esque.
