I did a bit of experimenting making blades using steel from van leaf springs. Smaller ones were ok but I couldn’t get enough heat onto bigger ones with a blowtorch so stacked bricks together to form a void big enough for the blade and some charcoal then aimed the blowtorch inside. Don’t use roof tiles they explode.
