Hi there, what’s the head tube length in cm of the goff please and max tyre clearance? Thanks
-
• #14
Head tube end to end is 125mm and approx 70mm ctc.
Clearance is good at 25mm. Probably get a 28mm tyre in the rear but not in the fork.
EDIT: just realised how close the tyre is to the seattube! maybe 25mm is max

Lovely frame, and 653 is so lush to ride... GLWS!
Look KG166 lugged carbon road race frame. 54cm top tube ctc and 53cm seat tube ctc. £100 ono
Positives
First (?) lugged carbon frame made by Look. Quite a few superficial scratches to the paintwork and some bubbling over the aluminium lugs. Comes with a difficult to find 25mm USE seatpost (very light) and smooth Campagnolo Brevet headset (Record top nut only). Weighs only 1.9kgs for frame, fork and headset.
Negatives
Makes a slight creaking noise when really putting the power down but cant see any cracks or movement in the lugs at all. Bottom bracket threads could probably do with a chase.
Steve Goff Reynolds 653 lugged road frame. 54.5cm top tube ctc and 53cm seat tube ctc. £170 ono
Positives
Steve was obviously so proud of this frame he wrote his name on it 6 times. I believe this was built in 2007 and is very light frame for steel (~1.6kgs). Nice curly lugs, 1 inch headtube, shot-in seat stays, 27.2mm seatpost and 130mm rear spacing. Comes with a perfectly smooth Cane Creek 40 threadless headset and full carbon Hylix fork (also very light at ~330g).
Negatives
This is an ebay chinese carbon fork with all the baggage that brings but I've given it the high speed pothole test so you don't have to. Fit and finish looks great to me and I've done hundreds of miles with it. Use at your own risk! Columbus Minimal would also look great with this frame. There are some scratches/chips to the paint on the frame but no dings. Seatpost binder bolt has a bit of rust.
Based in Bristol but can post for £20.
