• Bike prices are weird here. I'm heading south to pick up a mtb I found on happyride.se. First decently priced bike I've seen in ages

In general people seem to want a lot of their money back when selling. Tbh I'm not sure they get it, maybe there's a lot of bartering happening but I'm not sure. I've seen road bikes that are 4/5/6 years old sell for 80% of their new price which is just silly.

My last bike I got on UK ebay, made much more sense to have it shipped over. Had to take it via a friend in London though, but still worth the hassle considering the money I saved.

Also don't think blocket.se is the best place to look, even though it's default. Marketplace or forums seems better. Happyride.se is generally good and friendly.

We're in the south east, out in the sticks 30 mins north of Kalmar. Where are you?

Let me know if there's anything I can help out with Sweden wise. From what I gather it's a bit of a mission to get in to all the systems. It took me almost 18 months to get money for my parental leave when we moved back from London, and then I'm already Swedish!
