Do any sort of back pedal / skid and the rear frame is going to fold under...
What modifications did you make to the tensioner?

Fair comment...

No sick skids...

God knows, my mate gave them me. I laced them to a standard front hub and a trials front hub for the rear with a VeloSolo bolt on sprocket. It works fine as a fixed sprocket..

What are people's thoughts on retiring the "(was: Brompton rider outed)" from the title of this thread? I wince a little each time I see it. Seems rather poor use of the words?

I wouldn't read the first few pages of this thread. Definitely hasn't aged well (and wasn't good at the time).

Brompton has B75s back in stock on the website.

Anyone got any thoughts on B75 versus the real deal? Got a £1500 Cycle scheme voucher pending and was holding out for an M3L but they are gold dust atm, tempted to cancel it and splodge for this instead!

They are okay if your budget is limited. You can upgrade them of course but stock is not that limited, if you have 1500 you can get a sweet M3l with upgrades.
Brompton@sjscycles.com and I can talk through your options

I managed to buy a B75 last night , I see it doesn’t have folding pedals .I’d be grateful for ant advice re the pedals .
Is it an immediate upgrade that’s needed if I want to carry and put in car boot etc ?
If so , Brompton pedals or MKS , I see the removable get used , but I fancy ones left Von the bike tbh .
Any other obvious upgrades ?
It’s my first Brompton -

You can live without a folding pedal, but if you need to put the bike into "small" spaces it bloody helps. good luck finding one tho, Brompton are not supplying dealers with P&A stock as its being held for the bikes.
Upgrades I have done in the past to make it sweet;
brake levers
grips
shifter
bars
pedalsOthers;
seatclamp
add some mudguardsThe frames are the same as any other, but the stem is pre2017 so is lower and shorter than current M type, @Bodz has a sweet b75 build! as has @amey come to think of it!

Thanks , I ordered the pedals from Brompton , they had some .
It seems the B75 are out of stock again , there must be a huge contingent of new Brompton owners gearing up for the commute when everything opens again -

Any tyre recommendations? Looking for durability/puncture proofness. Marathon Plus?

Marathon Plus?
Yep. The downside is they ride like they're full of concrete. The upside is that their resistance to punctures is like they're full of concrete.

Anyone interested in swapping a pair of lightly used Kojaks for something a bit chunkier? Commute now includes a fair bit of towpath
It’s fixed...the chain tensioner just allows the frame to fold.
