• I think I've done most of them in Duolingo but the fact I can only remember them when presented them to my eyeballs here means I clearly couldn't use them. I'll probably stick to "comprendo" because it gets the meaning across and I can actually remember it :)

  • Just like in English there's a fair amount of crossover, comprender work well as it's a bit of a cognate so easy to remember. Saber is quite good if you get no lo sé stuck in your head. I think saber can be used for taste too. Me encanta saber de cerveza. That's probably used wrong for that though.

  • Me encanta saber de cerveza.

    Usar saber puede ser tricky. Aquí, tú dices que te interesa saber información sobre la cerveza: su historia, sus variedades, etc.

    El sabor = the taste, y deriva del verbo saber:

    Yo sé (usualmente con ‘a’ = like. Por ejemplo, yo sé a mango, dame un beso.) (Si te parece raro que no se dice ‘sepo’, no eres el único)
    Tu sabes
    El sabe
    Ellos saben
