Do it!

So much tempt. Components aren’t an issue, only the saddle is. Also looks like caliper or drum/roller brakes only, as no canti/V brake posts. But I reckon I could put it together for well under £500. Gotta be a bargain.

He’s already sorted for one, surely? How many does a man need?

Has he! Missed that

gah
Something about buses...I’ve just bought one. Putting some brake mounts on cos it has a Nexus 7 with rollers that I hate.
That one needs some work getting the seat stays/hammock sorted. But it looks great!

Soaring eBay prices for cycling stuff continues, was watching these until they spiralled well beyond my means. I've bought 3 sets of these off ebay in the past and never paid more than 80 quid, and had carbon Record ones for less than that. Those days are over.
10 speed Chorus shifters, admittedly allegedly un-used, but still, £285?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAMPAGNOLO-Chorus-Ergopower-10-SPEED-BRAKE-GEAR-LEVERS/124615800091If this continues I'm going to be seriously considering stripping and selling parts from my Campag bikes.

How many does a man need?
Lols
Hey, re the missing piece: Winston V has mine at the mo. My seat tubes/saddle cantle thing was a bit stuck, asked him to have a go at removing (it’s fairly bent and damaged by grub srews too). He said he might break it, my response was ‘fine, if it breaks it breaks, you could remake it right?’ and he seemed unfazed by this. He’s also suggested a way to reduce the grub screws biting into it by flattening down the rear-facing side.

Great bike for money, But so far away.
-
• #64142
Sorry for the derail, but this crossover solution seems very clever. Is there any reason why this isn't the norm for tandems?
-
• #64143
Stronglight 49D, lovely stuff. That rear brake is a new one on me, any idea what it is?
-
• #64144
That is the norm, no?

I was cooking dinner and I completely missed the eBay alarm and missed the end of the auction by 4 minutes. It went for £181. Gutted and fucking angry with myself.
Ah well.
