Can't see the graph ?
The socioeconomic class and Brexit voting in Norn Ire doesn't hold as well as in other (for now) parts of the UK.
Identity pretty much overrode it low income nationalist areas were remain and low income unionist areas Brexit... though in London I'd imagine the picture is similar with low income areas voting remain anyway?
When people were asked "are you worried about paying your bills" rather than put them in socioeconomic buckets a different picture emerged...anybody worried about their bills was less likely to vote Brexit. And those people could be income-band middle class as well.
Pensioners can be technically low income but have no worries about bills if house paid off/pension stable.
Age is the stronger Brexit correlator as a whole and, em, wanting the death penalty back. Cos reasons.
Ow yeah and wanting immigrants out...if you are in an area with barely any immigrants though where immigrant is "new and scary" . In areas with long established immigration, less so.
Again Northern Ireland bucks the trend, immigrants was irrelevant here with Brexit.

Court refuses judicial review because the Home Office promises leniency for people that miss the deadline. But the policy on that is not published yet, so how do the courts know it is good enough?
The HO stats are also off, like all statistics but we don't know by how much as they aren't too interested in detailed breakdowns on refusals/double-counting etc.
Covid is also causing problems for people stranded abroad.

Sorry, phrased it badly. What I think I meant to say was that I think that âworking classâ bar is overstated in size. There is a false narrative that pits the âeliteâ remainers against âworking classâ Brexiteers, but I suspect when you scratch the surface of what âworking classâ really means (ie economically precarious) the picture looks different?
As it is presented that chart is a tory wet dream.

And yes, some Brits abroad are also struggling as the lack of leniency from May when the EU offered an "everything stays the same" offer during Brexit negotiations means that people that don't have EU PR (5 years legal residency) are now at risk of deportation in some countries.

Yes, as pointed out by Mrak I should have questioned the source of that - my apologies to all.
To show I've learned my lesson here's another random screenshot from Twitter:

If the NIP is damaging the GFA, then why is the DUP not bringing a court case to that effect?
The GFA mentions "border infrastructure" so an invisible customs border in Ireland is acceptable maybe?
But since even Sweden / Norway need anpr cameras and gave closer regulatory alignment...good luck with that.

Got any more info on that? Here it's not really a drama (unless you pitched up here in December and don't have a job)

British person in the Netherlands, cannot work due to disability.
Was not really a problem before but now it is as "rules are rules" she didn't get PR before Brexit as she couldn't.
Not sure I can find it now she brought it up on Facebook.
https://www.britishineurope.org/page/1016442-home monitors the situation.
In limbo on Facebook takes stories from Brits and EU citizens regardless of where they are.
It's one of those things like euss most people have no or not too many problems, but it can really cause huge issues if you do
Brexit could have been completed in a way to avoid most of that.

Sound similar to Canada (their system is as long the person does not exceed $xxx amount a year in health care they can move to Canada)

finally some good news!
-
• #29717
I had a look her problem may be that she can stay but not receive certain benefits due to lack of PR.
Which is no good either.
You are Canada asks dis/differently abled to prove that won't use more health care than a certain amount which is very hard to do unfortunately...

differently abled
Avoid saying this, either disabled or not.

I've seen it used, I thought it's perhaps better but it's not a good term then?
No problem, I'll stick to disabled.

Mind if I ask why? Iâve also heard if used, and I thought it was the inclusive term to use.

There are two (main) 'models' of disability, the 'medical model' and the 'social model'. The former says that a disability is a defect in a person, i.e. they are somehow worse than others, and disabled by their impairment. The latter says that people are 'disabled by barriers in society, not by their impairment or difference'.
https://www.scope.org.uk/about-us/social-model-of-disability/
'Differently abled' is a different kind of attempt to dismantle the idea that disabled people are disabled because of their impairment, but it doesn't really state that there is such a thing as socially-caused disability.
Disabling people is just a fact of a society that doesn't include everybody, and while it persists, it has to be challenged, but it also has to be seen clearly that it exists and not denied.
