Another question, if I can't get hold of a son edelux for a decent (cheap price) what other smallish front dynamo lights will work with luggage on the front?

Busch & Muller Lumotec IQ-XS is 70 lux at arund £75. edelux 2 is 90lux,

I’ve got a supernova e3 on mine, bit of fiddling with the clamp and fits perfectly.

Pretty much any light will fit if paired with the Brompton bracket.

I’ve managed to justify buying myself a Brompton (I won’t share that here, the justification is thin - but I’m over the line), but unsure if many London shops have any stock at the moment. I’d probably start with Phoenix or Condor, but does anyone know other shops with any stock at the moment? Or, is anyone selling? 3 speed ideally. Thanks.

Worth checking Compton Cycles in Catford, they usually have a good selection in stock.

I’m in a similar position, got clearance from my better half to spend some money, can’t find anything in stock!

Silly question, how should the tension in the spring of the external derailleur be set or adjusted?

Does it have the same effect as adding cable tension on the shifter?

Say you were crazy and put on a gear shifter with no cable tension adjustment, could you adjust the derailleur spring tension instead?

The spring is a set thing, you can buy upgraded ones but it’s a separate thing from the cable tension

Why’s that mate

To measure commuting Watts. If it's not on Strava it didn't happen. But if it's not on Strava with power data it doesn't matter if it happened or not.

Disclaimer: I'm converting my fixed Brompton to one a three speed derailleur one at the moment.

What rims and hubs has it got?

Does that only work with certain gear combinations? And can you pull sick skids?

Looks like it’s fixed but not “full” aka no retention on the rear triangle / pedals, still got a rear brake ...
