Match the brake cables
I thought the same.
I bought some green cable outer years ago for my Gillott when/if it ever gets finished (green box lining) but it’s not this type with the lateral ribbing.
Is it possible to find something similar?

The length wise ribbed outer can normally only be found in grey, white and black - You can sometimes find used outer in colours but not very often.
There is this modern alternative https://southerndistributors.co.uk/product/vintage-housing-2m-x-5mm/
But it's vertical ribbing not length wise and not sure it would suit

I've always thought black or something to contrast with frame colour, but matching with that dark red looks v classy.
