your reply managed to slip past me unnoticed onto page 3 of my following list so only just saw this.
i'm going to go out on a limb and guess it had to do with the bouncer? if so I had the correct answer I just wasn't using it within the framework of the game, quick peek at a hint confirmed I was on the right track and eventually puzzled it out. just need to make sure you're using everything at your disposal.
have you earned any "achievements" yet? they were one of my favourite parts of the game.
