Sally Potter's Orlando is so relevant today in the era of what is Britain and what is gender.
Sumptuous, with the great androgenous Tilda Swinton in the title role
Saw it was recently added to bfi player, a perennial favourite of mine but decided to watch something I hadn't seen before - Timbuktu (2014). Beautiful and quietly devastating. I found the foreground story a bit confusing but everything else so clear and perfectly pitched.
