This case is going from bad to worse. Now it’s coming out there was an allegation of indecent assault in a fast food restaurant 3 days before but the police didn’t do anything.

I seem to recall that there was some suggestion from people around Solanas (and maybe Solanas herself) that it was a satirical art piece not a real manifesto. Might also have misremembered.

Suspect copper treated for a self-inflicted head wound.

The fast food place where he exposed himself was McDonalds. He of all people must have know the place is covered by cctv. He basically acted in a way that guaranteed he'd get caught, now he's smashing his head open in his cell.

Sources said that officers were trawling through the background of Wayne Couzens, including his activities during previous careers.

I forsee a lot of contempt of court charges relating to this case. The amount of media speculation going on is horrendous.

He was actually back on duty guarding the US Embassy AFTER exposing himself in McDs. Amazing. But why would he act in a way that pretty much guaranteed detection?

It does seem as if there was a missed opportunity:

I'm just thinking, exposing yourself in McD's guarantees detection. Maybe he was desperate to show people how sick he was but he escaped arrest and then the worst thing happened.

Another dreadful case is that of the murders of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman in Fryent Country Park last year. It's just started in court. The accused is an 18-year-old.
