Got any more photos of that DB5, or the car behind it? (is that a Ponton Mercedes?)
I didn't know you were retrimming the interior. Are you deleting the rear seats entirely?

There is an absolute treasure trove of cars in there, I didn't feel comfortable snapping away so what you've got is what's in the background to my car I'm afraid.
I parked behind an STi, next to a McLaren, then got boxed in my a Brabus G-Wagon, and those were the common vehicles on site.
Rear - yes, deleting the rear seats completely, two lockable stowage compartments where the base of the seats are as there are two hollows in the body shell, then quite a nice large, flat bottomed storage area with a fabric bulkhead that clips onto the seatbelt mounting points.
All the carpet is being evicted, being replaced with Alcantara, a final (?) upgrade of the sound-system and some detail work to some elements of the stying - the centre console in body-colour for example, some work to the orange shade on the indicators etc etc.

Who's doing the retrim?

Stay gray. The blue looked weird next to the silver console.

Now I'm intrigued what upgrades those taxis were in for.

One of them, I shit you not, was having the throne (literal golden throne) in the back re-trimmed.

In the meantime we've been running engine simulations to work out what ID and length our exhaust primaries should be:

All alcantara sounds practical...

It’ll have floor mats

Oh that will be nice, you'll need a little Porsche labeled, stiff bristled brush to keep on the car though.

I would have thought it’s a case of Porsche driving slippers only in the car.

Did not like the alcantara in my e-class. The seats were alcantara centres and an absolute pain that showed up every little mark and if you got them wet they stained and after less than 20k had started to shine from wear.
If you do go down that route then I would recommend looking at what treatments/ sealants etc are available....

Heal and toe in flip flops? If you can do that maybe you'd get an honorary Aussie citizenship...

Seats are leather and staying that way, the only contact point that will be alcantara is the wheel, and I’m resigned to recovering that every 20k, although that’s ~4 years of use, maybe a little more.

Being somewhat more serious about it, I take flip-flops off and drive barefoot (generally in hire cars on small Greek islands), rather than risk getting one stuck under a pedal.

Ah, makes sense.
Is the dash staying as is? That was one area where I always thought a non-reflective fabric made sense vs traditional plastic trim, to cut down on reflections from the dash in bright light.
That's nice, dear...
