Small Soens 531 f&f, 50cm

Another clear-out item.

Lovely little Soens 531 frame set, build by Bill Soens (brother of track coach Eddie) in Liverpool.

Condition is ok, no dents but the paint is quite worn in places. Has mudguard clearances and eyelets. New headset, and 118mm (I think) Shimano BB. Was built up as a winter bike for my wife but it was just a bit too small for her (and then she got fuloughed anyway) so I pulled it down back to the frame.

Anyway I gave £100 for it and fitted a new headset myself, so let’s say £75? Located in CR7 near Crystal Palace FC.

Is it collection only or could you post?? Also, do you know the seatpost size and rear dropout width??

Long or short reach brakes?

Seatpost is 27.2, and without checking I think the spacing is 130. I’ll confirm that tomorrow. I guess I could post at a push.

Good point. I put Shimano 2300 brakes on it, which I think are 57mm drop. Again, I’ll check that tomorrow.

Can I dibs this? Hoping brakes are long/mid reach.

Cool, I’ll check it today and confirm. Pretty sure they are longer reach as it has mudguard clearance.

Just checked, centre of brake hole to rim centre is 50mm.

Um, not sure, just a spare wheel I grabbed to check the drop. Probably a 25c.
