This thing for £200 is ridiculous. Rebadged version of the Omnitronic rotary that's about £300
Anyone want a Vestax PMC 05 Pro III with Penny and Giles crossfader?

I got eBay maple side panels on the way and I'll get some acetone on the logos for sure

Awesome. Please post build pics! Never had a go on a rotary but would love to - not sure it would suit a lot of dnb and jungle, but I do love a long blend.

Just plugged both decks and my mixer in for the first time in ages, all ready to drop some Mantronix for its maiden voyage... Lots of buzzing, amp dies, no music today! 😒
The amp is at least 30yrs old and the mixer is even older so maybe it is time for an upgrade... But where do you start?? I hadn't budgeted for this... 😭

Just picked up the very last silver Rotel A10 in Australia for mad cheap and a cheap and cheerful Numark M2, two channels and three band EQ is all I need... I hate spending money on hi-fi stuff, happens so infrequently for me...

Is that an MRT-60?
-
• #110
Yup, a very shagged MRT60... I should get it repaired, I can't bring myself to chuck it...

How does it feel to play? Not too plasticky?
Wanted a rotary for ages, hardly ever use the crossfader.
Really tempted for £200. Wonder if it's literally the same as the Omnitronic or just very similar.

Like a tank. It's the Omnitronic down to the user manual that doubles with the 4 channel version.
Only disappointment is the isolaters operate after the headphone mix so the output cue isn't the actual output -

It's great when it works properly, really fat sounding... They can be had for pennies so not sure if worth saving, I'm just being sentimental about it... This one's played all over London during its long life, first with my sister and then with me and it's played a few shows in Brisbane as well!

It looks like the latest version of the Omnitronic is a cheaper price now also, but still not as cheap as the SubZero - https://www.musicstore.com/en_US/USD/Omnitronic-TRM-202MK3/art-DJE0006347-000

Got mine, really happy with it, so nice for doing longer mixes. Pleased that the channel EQs are before the cue output so you can bring things in as you want them.
Only minor gripe is there's no gain and the LED indicators are just for master, so you need to be a bit more careful with the levels.
Recorded a quick ambient/techno mix yday, was fun. https://soundcloud.com/ajacuzzi/mix-march-2021

Mixer arrived, pretty soulless machine compared to an MRT60... 😒 Oh well, as long as it works...

sounds like one of your needles is flakey, around 11 minutes you lose the right channel
Anyone scratch? Thinking of finally locking myself away with some YouTube tutorials and giving it a go. Just need to find something to do it with. Any reccos?
I'm guessing that on these, the first section of each side is sound effects, vocals and then some locked grooves?
