• my tcr with 30mm alloy rims and my aeroad w/ 50mm deep rims there was like 1-2mph avg difference for similar power averaged over a couple hundred rides. gravel bike is harder to compare as the position isn't as aggro but do a lot of intervals on it on hills that i've also repeated on the aeroad. lose like 10-20s over 5 min for similar power (so like 5-6%). could be down to different power meters (quarq vs. vector) but hr is similar. about 3lbs of weight, slower rolling tires, more upright, less slippery. for general road riding i don't know the difference as well. maybe 2-4mph or so? obviously heavily depends on terrain.

have to decide what i am racing in a relatively mellow gravel race in 2 weeks. aeroad w/ 30mm tires or the gravel bike with 38s. hmmm.
