It really does feel a bit like cycling is entering its equivalent of the Nadal-Federer-Djokovic era.
These three look like they’ll be knocking lumps out of each other for years to come.

(Secretly, I absolutely love it. But…) it’s insane at the elite level of a sport to take that risk.

I think this is the greatest era ever to be a fan of men's road racing. Sure, there may have been better rivalries back in the day, and maybe attacking riders with more racing panache but I doubt it. Certainly not in televised times. Even the Sky train is *no more. We just need a wet Paris-Roubaix now.

I'm quite liking how Ineos are racing at the moment.
Attacking, getting in breaks.Shame they don't seem to have a race finisher at the same level as Alaphillipe, MvDP etc.
I will be extremely entertained if we get Ganna riding them off his wheel at Roubaix...

Cancellara/Boonen/PhilGil?
It’s definitely a lot younger now, and we’re paying a lot more attention to it due to a lack of competition during lockdown, but there’ve been big rivalries and exciting races in the recent past.
I’m reading The Ronde right now, about the 2011 edition (don’t spoil it! I’m trying to avoid finding out who won that edition) and it sounds just as thrilling.
Of course, there have been massive inexplicable attacks, too, but they were often labelled ‘superhuman’ and then doubted. I haven’t heard any rumblings about MvdP’s Strade finish and I hope there’s no reason to question it. (There, I questioned it.)

That's pretty amazing, although it won't last this week.

I still dont see how Groenewegen is fully at blame and deserves this amount of vilification and a ban.

To be fair, I spent some time hanging out with some pros many years ago and they had the interests and conversational skills of teenage boys.

I probably would be dancing with my mini-coke if I had just won a bike race of the year in the world champs jersey.

Bike race of the year? It's not even the best one this week.

Dubtap’s pic makes him look more of a twat than this imo. But yeah he is.

Wait, do you even know dubtap to say something so nasty about him?
Lefevrre must lose his shit when he sees that happen.
