Worth keeping an eye out on Wiggle for cheap black 28h TB14's. They went out of stock a couple weeks back but came back in and i nabbed a pair.

I saw they were a mega bargain on there alright but no stock at present. I'll keep an eye on it!
How are they wearing? Is the black coating just immediately gone?

My grey archetypes anodising came off in one ride, pretty much in the first rotation of the wheel on the brake... it was raining pretty hard if that made any difference...

Had a few sets of them so far. Yeah anodising goes pretty quick, but they don’t look bad at all.
On my fourth set of now silvers and I’d buy another in a heartbeat. -

If you’re thinking of silver then what about ADHN? Don’t think they’re available in 28 but 32 from hubjub for £25 👍🏻

Thanks for the tips on the coating, might just go for the silver ones in that case although not too fussed either way.
Those Kinlin ADHN rims look like a good alternative though too, I'll have a look at them!

Exam LX17 might be worth a look.
Tougher and heavier than a TB14 (which are really nice). Better than ADHNs though I think.

I have a few sets of 32H for sale;
Open Pro on Ambrosio Zenith
Open Pro on Dura Ace 9000 -

These'll probably go on a track bike so I'm not worried about the sidewalls but my experience of using them previously with a brake is that the anodising doesn't last long. What's nice about them though is if you do go grey/black they're so low profile that you don't get that ugly two tone look. Gum walls soften the impact but maybe sacrifice some black walls whilst the ano is wearing off.

I've got a set of ADHN and while they were a bit of work to build up. They've be a fine pair of wheels to ride.
More recently I built up a set of Pacenti Brevets and they were much nicer to build than the ADHNs, but a lot more expensive. It looks like they've restocked in all drillings.

Sold out :(
It was a great deal that. I paid 140 for just 2 rims!

Yeah it's a shame to have missed that deal but I think those Pacenti rims might be the way to go and there's almost 100g saving between a pair of them and a pair of TB14s.
I'm after a pair of 28h TB14 rims in grey anodised finish.
Will consider built wheelsets with 11sp Sram/Shimano rear. Ideally something lightweight and not wild spendy (Bitex/ Novatec would be good, Extralite/ Tune would be superb if price is right).
Will also consider 32h and silver or black
