I think he signed a HUGE contract (for a relatively unproven rider) back in 2018 (something like 15 million euros for the 5 years). That said, who is to say that this isn't just salary and not win bonuses.

The outrageous speed that MVDP was arriving, I was concerned he'd celebrated too early again.

Jules needs to stop posting up. He almost lost that again. MvdP was steaming in and would have had that if he’d launched half a second earlier.

If MvdP had been a couple wheels forward when Thomas accelerated, then he'd have won that. Did seem pretty frustrated with himself after.

Yeah I’m tempted to say he lost it, rather than Jules winning it. He had plenty more in the tank crossing the line. Monster.
