135MM spaced fixed hub

  • Im open to anything. Trying to make a Genesis Day One into a fixed dream.

  • I want one of these too. Think the Surly Ultra New Fixed mountain hub is coming in the UK end of the month if you wanted a new hub.

I got a 135mm surly ultra new w/ freewheel threads if you wanted to use a cog / BB lockring.

  • -scratch that, wrong spacing.

  • It must be the time of the year...

Took my Day One back wheel to the LBS to get it trued on Tuesday only to be informed that the rims are starting to crack. New plan was to have a Surly ultra hub (fixed/free) so I can flip it when needed.

@Thrasher Where did you find out about the hubs coming at the end of the month from?

  • Triton. Apols - its end of April. Not March.

  • Ta. And bugger; that is a while :(

  • If not running a rear brake velo solo do a cog that bolts on to rotor side of a geared hub

  • I have a 130 mm Goldtec fixed/fixed hub, 32h, pewter colour in good condition that is spare. Would work ok on a 135 mm spaced steel frame. Looking for £40 collected from W5.

  • Not every steel frame is OK to spring/squash and ride on a long-term basis. I think the heat-treated types don't like this.
