I thought a pompetamine was just a pompino with discs (and wider rear spacing)? What would be different in a new pompino with discs?

I think this keeps getting asked. But I'll ask again, there were rumours about a new pompino a couple of years ago with discs. Where did this go? Anywhere ? Nowhere?
Not a pompetamine, I had one of them it was fine for commuting / slow miles.
