Do they make much difference to the handling?

I don't feel tipped over the front wheel when descending. The whole bike feels more balanced.

The bolts that hold the shock do you loctite them or grease them?

Long enough to hate it.

I've done 400km on the squatch now. It's a keeper.
The +2 angleset was a good idea, makes it a bit shorter and easier to move around tight corners. Never had a bike that would give me so much confidence. The low BB can be an issue while climbing out of the saddle, but I'm happy to trade that for increased stability. I don't know how they did it but the frame is as comfortable as the pre CEN bikes but without being noodley.
Next upgrade will be MTB skills with Jedi. -

Don't you have enough forks already?
-
• #347
As @BareNecessities will tell you, you need at least four forks per bike.

• #348
Did you ever build the Tallboy then, or have you swapped it for the Ibis?

The last part for Tallboy arrived this week.
Ripley was built up witht the leftovers from my other XCish bike. -

Shame you've spent all your money on bikes and can't afford a camera to photograph them ;-)
It's not much of a route, more of a ride from home to Junction 8 Cafe on Reigate Hill and back connecting as many green spaces as I can find: Mitcham Common, St Helier Park, Banstead Common, Banstead Wood (cycling isn't really allowed there), Scratch Wood, Surrey Golf Club, and bit of North Downs Way.
I have a NN at front and Forecaster at the back. There were only few places where I wished for more grip.
