@Crispin_Glover @hoops Kind of touched you think I could handle such a beast. As much as I'd love a Disco, I think it's a bit too balleur for me.
I should have placed more emphasis on the Would be great if it didn't ruin us to run/maintain. So 3.6l(!!!) Superbs (or anything else like this) are out of the question.
For reference I currently drive a 3dr 06 plate Zetec Fiesta in the much sought after purple rinse colour. 1.4l or pure grunt.
I love the little 4x4 Pandas but they're too little. Smaller boot than the Fiesta plus I'd like something that makes the occasional trip down the M4 a bit more enjoyable (if that's even possible).
XC70 is actually what made me consider estate/4x4. Quite a few of them around here. Other cars that have made me go hmmm are Yeti, Octavia, Tiguan, 93, A4 and Impreza (in increasing order of how ridiculous I'd feel behind the wheel of one).
Anything else in this vein I should consider? Really not a fan of warning light bingo or spenny servicing.
