Opinions and arseholes etc, I liked him. Swann, on the other hand, has too much personality for my punditry tastes and was almost unlistenable on the Indian comms, especially as (entirely understandably) neither of his co-comms seemed to get any of his jokes, impersonations or cultural references...
I would lose his 'bants' and opinions in a heartbeat but his tactical insights into captaincy, game situations and managing players etc are often really interesting so he would be a loss. If he closed all his social media and agreed to voice no opinions on matters away from the game (squad rotation, diversity in the sport etc) he'd be a proper asset.
Butcher is good - the ESPN switch hit podcast is great with him and various journalists. I'm enjoying Cook and Strauss on Channel 4 recently - two thoroughly nice chaps, albeit Cook seems to be getting younger and Strauss is looking increasingly terrifying with his skinhead and increasing size.
