  • @Soul Please can I pick your brains regarding stacking a Samsung heat pump dryer on top of a washing machine.

Do you have a tray or a bracket between and how do I work out what I need. So many model numbers 🤷🏼‍♀️ pls halp.

  • Sure. I have these:

    Dryer
    Washing machine
    Bracket / shelf

I think the bracket (also available in white) does most of their current range. Check it out here.

  • Thank you!! This is so reassuring. Thanks. The washing machine jingle is so long and so hilarious. It's day one, I know I will want it to go away soon.

  • Yeah. Super happy mine are in the garage. Haven’t heard the jingle once yet.

  • Haha we have an older Samsung top loader in our laundry room, the jingle at the end of the cycle is so long and funny. Just when you think it's finished it plays more.

  • Is there any reason I shouldn’t put a condenser dryer in a cupboard under our staircase? It’s an old’ish house and this is the only space.

  • Just check the manual of the machine you have/are buying. Should have ventilation guidance (how much space you need to leave on each side etc).

As long as you meet those requirements, you should be fine.

  • Cheers, shall do.

  • Samsung dryer ordered and the shelf stacker thing.

Thanks @Soul, you are much more useful than the crap Samsung website, it is so hard to search for WiFi capabilities. I've ordered a model I hope is WiFi-enabled: DV90TA040AN.

  • DV90TA040AN

I don’t think it is WiFi enabled. Needs to have Samsung smart things as a feature. Cant see the logo on the images or SmartThings in the spec.

Here’s their WiFi ones available on AO.com.

  • Ok I'll sleep on it. Maybe I don't need WiFi if it's in the kitchen.. The wifi model is out of stock.

Thanks again for your support through this confusing time, haha.

  • It really isn’t needed if they’re in the house.

Only got WiFi as they’re in the garage so wanted get notifications of completions etc.

  • The washing machine having WiFi helps when I'm upstairs so I know to go take it out and put it in the dryer. This is my first tumble dryer after 17 years of renting, I think this one is fancy enough!

  • Samsung used to have a thing for surprisingly complex and long jingles. I had a Samsung TV that did something similar. Muat have been a company policy for a while!

  • Just guessing but I'd be surprised if it didn't play a sound when the drying cycle is complete. I dont know what your gaff is like for sound travel but might be enough to hear from upstairs...

  • No I know, I plan to turn the jingles off though as they last about 15 mins. I may be exaggerating.

  • A bit like our Beko dishwaaher that beeps
loudly oncee every forty seconds for fifteen minutes when it has finished it's cycle!

  • Not an appliance, but I want a decent pepper mill. Recommendations, go!

  • We have a le creuset one and its shite, an anti-recommendation

  • What problems are you having with it? I've had one for ~4 months and been really impressed. I mean, it looks nice, feels weighty and grinds a decent volume of pepper with each turn, which really are my only requirements... it's not wifi connected, which I guess may be a turn-off for some on this thread.

  • i havent found it grinds particularly well tbh, i had a cheap one from sainsburys before it broke that felt like i was getting a better grind and more output

  • Got a set of 'Menu' salt/pepper grinders a few years ago with no problems to date, and you get +10 insta/pinterest points.

  • Less middle-class aspiration points tho?
