Agreed, going through the same process myself - trying to get comfortable with changing them myself if I get caught out miles from home - I’ve had moderate success with Joe’s No Flat tubular sealant but I’d like to be confident enough to carry a pre-glued spare and make the change roadside.
Having said that, there’s no way I’d use tubs for a multi day ride - too much hassle.
