I am mildly annoyed and also wondering how to tell them to go away, politely, tomorrow when they phone back (earlier I said I was in the middle of work and could they call me tomorrow.)
About to go into a meeting? On deadline? I use the latter a lot when people call me at work, often because I am.
I didn't like much about the interaction - especially the 'I just need to confirm your details as part of our security procedure' on an unsolicited call.
I wouldn't like that either. If I get that, I say "Well, how do I know you're who you say you are? Tell me your name and I'll get the number off the legit website and call you."
Then I don't call back, obvs.
I was phoned up earlier by an insurance broker who got my details from my mortgage broker. My mortgage broker did not mention this to me.
