  • I was phoned up earlier by an insurance broker who got my details from my mortgage broker. My mortgage broker did not mention this to me. I am mildly annoyed and also wondering how to tell them to go away, politely, tomorrow when they phone back (earlier I said I was in the middle of work and could they call me tomorrow.)
I didn't like much about the interaction - especially the 'I just need to confirm your details as part of our security procedure' on an unsolicited call. The company seem legit enough, but I'm just not interested and I kinda hate that shit.

That boils my piss. They would have strong advice to 'do one' from me at that stage.

  • I complained to Virgin (the Executive office complaints or whatever rather than just their bog standard complaints) about them doing this. They contacted me from a random mobile number to discuss it but wanting me to confirm my details first.

Unsure if it was shithousery or incompetence.
